CrimeStoppers is not the police. We are a non-profit organization working to fight crime in Mid-Missouri and keep our community safe. We combine the efforts of private citizens, law enforcement and local media to prevent and solve crimes. To do this, we rely on anonymous tips from the community.

Crimes in progress or yet to occur (if a crime is in progress report it to 911 and then submit an online report)
The whereabouts of wanted persons
Unsolved felony crimes

Safe and Anonymous

When you submit a tip, you will be given the opportunity to share your information. You will NOT be asked for your name. Your tip is always anonymous and your tip is NEVER traced or recorded. Callers will NEVER be required to testify. Upon completion of your submission, you will be assigned a code number for your dealings with CrimeStoppers.

Cash Rewards

If your tip to CrimeStoppers leads to an arrest involving a felony crime, then you receive a cash reward. Reward amounts up to $2000, depending upon the nature of the crime and the significance of information provided. Rewards are distributed using your code number. The police will NOT be involved. Your identity will never be known or revealed.

Donate to CrimeStoppers

Columbia / Boone County CrimeStoppers is organized and run by local community members who volunteer their time. It is a non-profit organization recognized by the State of Missouri. We rely on donations to fund our programs and pay the rewards. Costs to run this organization are very low and the vast majority of donations go directly towards cash rewards for crime tips. A charitable contribution letter can be provided for all donations.
